Instagram Highlights are pinned Story collections that don't expire — they sit permanently on a profile until the owner removes them. For creators, brands, and personal accounts, Highlights serve as a curated showcase: portfolio items, FAQ, behind-the-scenes, product launches.
Unlike regular Stories (which expire in 24 hours), Highlights are always available — making them downloadable any time, not just before a deadline.

The fast version

  1. Open the user's Instagram profile.
  2. Tap the Highlight circle to start viewing.
  3. Tap the three dots ⋯ → Copy link. (If unavailable, use the profile URL method below.)
  4. Open SaveFast.cc, paste, click Download.
  5. Each Highlight item appears — pick which to save.

Two methods

Method 1 — direct Highlight link (preferred when available):

  1. Open the Highlight in Instagram.
  2. Tap ⋯ → Copy link.
  3. Paste into SaveFast.

Method 2 — via profile URL (works when Method 1 isn't available):

  1. Copy the profile URL (e.g., instagram.com/username/).
  2. Paste into SaveFast.
  3. SaveFast shows all visible content on that profile, including Highlights.
  4. Pick the Highlight you want.

Method 2 is more reliable since not all Highlights have direct share options.

Highlights vs regular Stories

Highlights are essentially saved Stories. The difference:

  • Regular Stories expire after 24 hours. Download before deadline or lose forever.
  • Highlights are permanent (until the owner removes). Download anytime.

For active accounts you care about, Highlights are the easier saves — no time pressure.

Downloading on Desktop

Profile URL approach works best on desktop:

  1. Go to the user's profile (instagram.com/username/).
  2. Copy the URL.
  3. Go to savefast.cc, paste, click Download.
  4. Pick which Highlight to extract.
  5. Each item (photo or video) becomes a separate download.

Downloading on Mobile

iPhone: Open the Highlight on Instagram → ⋯ → Copy link. Safari → SaveFast → paste → download each item to Files.

What's in a Highlight

Highlights are collections — typically 5-30 items each. Items can be:

  • Photos (3-15 second still images) — downloaded as JPG.
  • Videos (up to 60 seconds) — downloaded as MP4.

SaveFast handles both, offering each item separately. You can pick selected items or download all.

Quality available

Highlights inherit from Stories:

  • Photos: full resolution as uploaded.
  • Videos: 1080p MP4 typically, sometimes 720p for older Stories archived into Highlights years ago.

Instagram compresses heavily; the file is what's stored, not the creator's original.

Music in Highlights

Many Highlights include music sticker tracks. The music is sometimes baked into the video file (downloads with audio) and sometimes overlaid by Instagram's player (downloads silent). Depends on licensing for that specific track.
If the music doesn't come through, the visual still saves correctly.

Polls, questions, and interactive stickers

Highlights from Stories that used polls, sliders, and questions show the stickers but the interactivity is gone. The download captures the visual moment, not the data.

Private accounts

Private Instagram accounts only show Highlights to approved followers. SaveFast uses your browser's access — if you can view, you can download.

Common issues

"Highlight not available." Owner removed it.
Can't find the share/copy link option. Use the profile URL method (Method 2 above).
Audio missing. Music licensing — Instagram silences some tracks in saved versions.
